Announcing The Martha's Vineyard Dining Sourcebook

We are so incredibly excited to finally introduce THE MARTHA’S VINEYARD DINING SOURCEBOOK into the world! Over the past two months, Angela and Marnely, alongside the incredibly talented Sourcebook Productions team, have worked tirelessly to produce the first-ever comprehensive digital, printed guide of all of the restaurants and dining destinations on Martha’s Vineyard, just in time for the busy 2021 summer season.

This project is funded, in part, by the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism.

This will be the Island’s first-ever complimentary restaurant guide brings the print and digital world together by utilizing Flowcode technology to help visitors and residents alike explore and stay up to date on their favorite restaurants.

Some history: Dining Sourcebook was launched on Nantucket in the summer of 2020 in an effort to support the restaurants as they navigated the regulations brought on by the pandemic. Many believed this technology saved Nantucket restaurants during the summer dining season. Following Nantucket’s launch, the Dining Sourcebook headed West to Aspen during the winter of 2021, and Martha’s Vineyard is now the third expansion market for the Dining Sourcebook heading into the critical summer season.

We were thrilled to partner with Sourcebook Productions and the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce to offer these Dining Sourcebooks as support to the local restaurant industry. As digital marketers this project was a natural fit for us, as the essence of the book looks to bring brands online, which is at the core of our mission. We hope the Martha’s Vineyard Dining Sourcebook proves to be a useful tool to restaurants and consumers and helps to further underscore the importance of digital technology to our local businesses.

Through innovative Flowcode technology, the Sourcebook gives users real-time information on all things dining in a virtually contactless way by offering up-to-date information about the ever-changing dining experience.

Simply hold your phone’s camera over the Flowcode and a link pops up to bring users to the restaurant’s digital destination dynamically in real-time!

The Martha’s Vineyard Dining Sourcebook was a true labor of love and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible team we had:

Nancy at the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce, along with the team at the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, who in part, funded this project. Truly the MVPs of our team, because without a strong financial backing, we could never have done this. Plus, having our local Chamber of Commerce and our Office of Travel and Tourism supporting us and understanding the value in this product, for locals and visitors alike, means the world. Massachusetts, we’re grateful to call you our home.

Holly, Katie, and Jeanna, the Sourcebook Productions team, wow, what rockstars! These women are stellar - the way they kept us on deadline, guided us through this process, secured all the details, and checked in with us not only once a week during our set Zoom meetings, but via text, Facetimes, and phone calls was incredibly supportive. The best team we ever could have hoped for.

Randi Baird, our friend, and insanely talented Martha’s Vineyard photographer, whom this book would also not have been possible without, because her breathtaking photography graces this entire book, from cover to cover. The way Randi’s photos bring vibrant energy into this book is incredible, and we are so thankful for her graciousness. It’s an honor to have her photos within our book.

Sara Farley, the most detail-oriented graphic designer we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Sara truly created and designed a book that was not only beautiful to look at, but also effective in its utility. Her ability to translate our vision into this book is outstanding and we are so thankful to her for her patience during our rounds and rounds of edits.

And a big thank you to Kristina Prout, who helped us aggregate all the initial restaurant information, as well as our husbands, Brian and Gavin, for being the final second pair of eyes during edits. And last, and certainly not least, we want to thank ourselves. That’s right.

We want to thank ourselves for being such hard-working, detail-oriented, motivated women. We want to thank ourselves for never giving up, even though we were so exhausted while trying to juggle other jobs and personal commitments. We want to thank ourselves for sticking to deadlines and being such go-getters.

If you don’t know where the inspiration came from to thank ourselves, you should watch this.

Ultimately, we want to thank YOU. The reader of this post and the ultimate user of the book. The eager visitors set on discovering the best eats on-Island, the locals excited about this project and looking forward to sharing it, and our resilient restaurant community for deserving all of this support., and more. Thank you - this is for you.
